Candy is a bilingual Speech and Language Therapist who has had over a decade of experience working with children with a variety of communication difficulties, including articulation and phonological disorders, developmental language disorder, social communication disorder, apraxia of speech, voice disorders, and stuttering. She also has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals and children with complex needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), global developmental delay, hearing loss and dyslexia. Growing up in Canada, studying in the UK, and working in Hong Kong have given Candy a diverse and inclusive perspective on different cultures and approaches to therapy.

Candy is passionate about working with the paediatric population, particularly children with ASD and special educational needs (SEN). She believes that every child learns uniquely and at their own pace, and that it is crucial to identify and utilize the learning style(s) that best help them learn. She is a strong advocate of early intervention and believes that therapy should be provided in a holistic and transdisciplinary approach. This includes working closely with family members, teachers and other healthcare professionals to best support each child's needs and help them reach their full potential.

Candy has served in a variety of settings in the UK and Hong Kong prior to her return to Canada, including children's centres, community health centres, hospitals, mainstream and special schools, non-governmental organizations and private practices, providing evidence-based assessment and therapy in English and Cantonese. She is also able to speak Mandarin and Japanese at a conversational level.
